Fairy Meadows
Fairy Meadows, also known as Joot , is a grassland close to one of the Nanga Parbat base camp locations in Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. It was given that name by German mountaineers. It serves as the starting point for trekkers summiting the Rakhiot face of the Nanga Parbat at a height of roughly 3,300 meters (10,800 feet) above sea level. The Pakistani government designated Fairy Meadows as a national park in 1995.

Activities at Fairy Meadows
1. Trek to the base camp of Nanga Parbat
This is the main draw to Fairy Meadows, besides the breathtaking mountain views. One of the best day hikes in Pakistan is to Nanga Parbat Base Camp, which ought to be on every traveler’s must-do list.
